Our Business Development Manager, Anita Avgucevica, recently participated in a panel hosted by Decom Mission.

The discussion tackled one of the industry’s most urgent challenges: attracting and retaining talent in a sector still largely shaped by experienced professionals.
With a background that spans both recruitment and hands-on roles in the energy sector, Anita offers a unique dual perspective. She’s witnessed the talent gap from both sides - and highlights the risk of a significant skills shortage if we don’t act now.
The panel explored how we can better engage younger generations, challenge outdated perceptions of the energy industry, and foster a more inclusive, forward-thinking environment. The future of this sector depends on fresh perspectives, innovative technology, and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Reflecting on the experience, Anita shared: “It was a privilege to be part of the panel. At eserv , we’re proud to playing a big part in this transition - not only by hiring early-career professionals and supporting recent graduates through traineeships and graduate placements, but also by developing cutting-edge technology that moves the industry forward. Our digital twin innovations are designed to align with how the next generation will engineer and manage industrial process assets - with smarter software and hardware, faster workflows through automation, safer operations enabled by remote connectivity, and more sustainable practices that reduce travel and lower on-site carbon footprints.”
