eserv collaborate with TotalEnergies to enhance Digital Twin ecosystem!
Over the past year, eserv has been working closely with TotalEnergies to review and improve standards for reality capture data handling to enhance their digital twin ecosystem. TotalEnergies has made a significant investment in laser scanning all of their UK assets. However, without proper governance, data accuracy errors can compound over time, devaluing the true potential of the engineering models now available to the asset.
Our digital assets team have worked with TotalEnergies to audit and refine the technical standards for new data collection, processing, and distribution, to achieve maximum ROI from the digital twins.
Nathan Jack, eserv Project Manager and Product SME, stated, “For an engineer to make decisions from the desktop, starting with reality is an incredibly powerful tool to have. However, without a high degree of data accuracy and user confidence, this often results in engineers making survey visits to validate the data. We have supported TotalEnergies assets by auditing over 15,000 laser scans, to adhere to engineering tolerances. We are excited to assist TotalEnergies elevate this to a new standard, enabling assets to have twin data that delivers everything from visual references to generating engineering requirements. This contributes to reducing visual, dimensional and verification survey requirements offshore, offering substantial cost-saving gains and the ability to expedite workflows, establishing a foundation for long-term value from digital twins as the asset evolves over time"
